Types of Natural Resources
- Renewable
- Non renewable
Non renewable resources are those resources that can not be regenerated such as minerals, soil, fuel and similar things.
What is the difference between renewable and non renewable resources?
Renewable resources Non renewable resources
1.
The resources that can
be renewed by 1. The resources that are present in fixed
Reproduction is called renewable quantity is Called
non renewable resources
resources
human beings activities human activities
resources renewable resources
5.
For example :- Air, water, forest 5. For example :- fossil fuel, minerals, coal,
wildlife, solar power etc metal etc
In another word we can say that
- The Renewable resources are able to reproduce or replace themselves where as Non renewable resources is used , it is gone- one must find a substitute or do without it.
- The Renewable resources are interrelated if a forest cut or burned, not only the timber affected but also the soil is damaged and the water relationships are disturbed. stream flow and underground water supply are also disturbed, It is not the same with Non renewable resources, they are only interrelated through agency of man removing. the coal from an area will not influence the amount of other mineral in the underground deposits.
- For the Renewable resources , management is based on the principal of a sustained yield.with proper management , tree can be cut every year and yet there will be the tree in future, for the Non renewable resources good management is wise used of resources with avoidance of waste.
It's good, but could be much better.... :(
